Anyone who is anyone in the world of beauty will have heard the skincare brand The Ordinary being mentioned over the last couple of months. This is the low-budget brand offering amazing results that are truly backed up by science and that does what it says on the tin. We've talked about these guys before here at AZ and to say we are fans is a huge understatement! The Ordinary say they are 'Clinical formulations with integrity', and we would have to agree! Their team is composed of specialists in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry who take pride in the honesty and depth in their innovation. Today, we tried out their Serum Foundation with SPF 15.
This lightweight serum foundation comes in a variety of twenty-one shades that each blends seamlessly into the skin with absolutely no cakiness, the range of shades caters for those with pink, red, yellow and neutral undertones making it versatile and easy to find a suitable colour match. The pigment is lightweight, but buildable and can be layered up to cover blemishes and spots where needed, it melts right into the skin without clogging your pores leaving you with a soft dewy base that looks supernatural. Given the weightlessness of the formula and how easy it is to blend into the skin, it can simply be applied with your fingertips with no need for makeup brushes or sponges. Utilising treated pigments used in The Ordinary’s proprietary spreadability system, the foundation guarantees a natural-looking finish that I found lasts comfortably for about 7 hours. This serum foundation is also super moisturising on the skin and contains SPF 15 so you can rest assured your skin is protected from harmful rays throughout the day. All in all, we would definitely recommend the Serum Foundation from The Ordinary, it blends the best of their innovative skincare with a little bit of beauty magic to create the perfect base.
